Torbjörn Gustavsson is born in Helsingborg and began his studdies in music sience and art history in Lunds University and later in Stockholm. Torbjörn later continued his studdies on the Muscial Academy of Stockholm (called ”Ackis” among the students). He studdied there under famus Swedish conductors as Eric Ericsson, Gotthard Arnér and Waldemar Söderholm.

Torbjörn worked as Organist in the Trinity Church of Kristianstad between 1976 and 2012. Thanks to a schollarship he studdied orechestra conduction between 1987 and 1989 under the teachings of conductor Everett Lee. Torbjörn has also been a teacher at the church music education at Vadstena Folkhögskola.

In 2001 Torbjörn recivied the Lund’s See schollar as a choirleader. In 1988 he began a co-operation with Wasa Baroqueorechstra which Trefaldighetskören has conducted many of the great works with during the years.
